Of Occupational Performance and Grace

In an office I am very familiar with, they recently found a locked padlock decorated with red, white and black threads. Underneath the various layers of threading was a piece of paper with Arabic writing. Somebody had planted it to gain some influence over the boss and his wife through the spiritual realm. They didn't need to know Arabic to understand what it was all about. Places of work and are now spiritual minefields. Careers and destinies are being attacked and talents are being misdirected from the other realm and you will be amazed who is doing it. Those who do it, understand something most people don’t.

Here is the bigger picture:
There are two dimensions to man: the physical and the non-physical, the tangible and the intangible, the seen and the unseen. Interestingly it is the intangible that creates and controls the tangible. Man is spirit (intangible/Unseen)first before body(Tangible/seen). In fact, he refers to the body as MY BODY which implies that we are actually spirits wearing bodies like perhaps one will wear a space suit in order to survive on the moon. Man, in the image of his maker who tends to replicate this method in his own creations. He conceives things intangibly before he brings them to tangibility. Plato(a pagan) concurs with his forms idea. The upshot is that, one cannot be said to be at full power in terms of his performance when the more powerful intangible (spiritual) aspect of him is dormant. He has to activate before he engages in order to function at full power. He needs GRACE! Grace is activated by connecting to the maker who happens to be the only one who truly understands the purpose for which each person was created. He understands the mechanics of your being and how it can be pushed to its very limits. True performance is only possible with the influence of the spirit.

I have spent four years studying individuals I consider high performing. It is clear that they are all (whether negatively or positively) spiritually active. This means they are firing on all two main cylinders (the physical and spiritual). It is also true that when counter-forces (those who's mission is to ensure that you don't reach your true destiny) attack, they often do it from the spiritual realm. The reason is simple; you are automatically disabled in the physical when you have been disabled in the spiritual. The story is not the same the other way round. It is wise then to ensure spiritual security more than physical security.

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalms 127:1 (KJV)

Grace makes all things possible.  No matter how trained you are, Grace is what will ensure you are at your best and also have access to opportunities. A person functioning under Grace is more powerful than the most talented or most educated person. Grace is Unmerited Favour.

The questions I have for you are very simple: is your spiritual cylinder firing? How many times do you pray for your (occupation) career, job, investment or business in a month? Are you secured spiritually in what you do? Are you getting the exposure you need ? Are you working hard and yet cannot see the results? Is there a covenant between you and God regarding your occupation?
In my Uptimetrics(R) Training program, we recently included a new Module called Spiritual Intelligence (SI) to consolidate the Emotional Intelligence (EI) Technical Intelligence (TI) and the host of other "intelligences" that we have identified that everyone needs in varying helpings in order to function at full capacity in their occupations. The objective is to ensure the activation of the spiritual cylinder in order to ensure full performance. You will get more of this in my coming work "Perform with supernatural Influence" in the SPiD-UP book series.
Tomorrow (Saturday 29th of  March, 2014), I will speak on Occupation and its connection to your destiny and what role performance plays in the equation at the Oil Of Grace Service at Mission of Hope Ministries in Dzorwulu  under the authority of Rev. Dr. Ebenzer Alabi who is my GO and mentor. I am inviting you to join us at 7.30 AM to 90.30 AM so you can access the GRACE to take your (Occupation) career, job, business and investments to the next level. Oil of Grace is held on the last Saturday of every month and is open to everyone. Call 0244 799 606 for more info.
It does not therefore depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. Romans 9:16

What you must BE you already ARE

As a performance coach, I have met many people who are oblivious of their gifts and what they represent in their lives. Disastrous as this is, it does not exactly stop us from engaging in any activity. For this reason we are able to either by emulating an influential person or following the latest trend, join a profession of our choice although it is not supported by our natural gift. It is a common thing to be influenced into a vocation by someone you look up to but the result is that we never really reach our full potential even though we work very hard . The modeling idea too often proposed by new age thinkers and coaches can be a real problem as we then discard the idea that each one of us was created for a specific purpose for the glory of God. This is the mother of all errors because not to walk in the will of God is the very definition of disobedience. While modeling itself as a concept is not wrong, like everything else it can be applied wrongly. The question of what ...

God is pleased when you PERFORM at your PEAK (Part 1)

whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. Ecclesiastics 9:10 This is the wisdom of a man who’s wisdom the world is yet to see again. In the scripture he set the tone for a discussion on performance. What it doesn't appear to be saying is as important as what it is saying. Whiles there is the tendency to assume that scripture refers only to doing the work of God, we must also quickly see how the work of God translates into what God has purposed and wills for us to accomplish. Every activity is a part of the larger life God has granted us for his purpose. Your life is not exactly yours, God created it so he can accomplish something specific. Here is what he said to Jeremiah in  Jeremiah 1:6 Before I formed thee, I knew thee and ordained thee as a prophet unto he nation Paul supports this when he wrote in Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created ...

God is pleased when you PERFORM at your PEAK (Part 2)

This is the same for groups or nations as the overall performance of the group depends on the performance of the individuals. In a similar manner, there are many things we must do as part of living our lives in general. These include our jobs and many other things. The job is significant because it is the means by which we power every other area of our lives and ultimately determines how our lives pan out. We spend roughly 8 of our 24 hours a day in it and spend another 8 sleeping. This leaves us with another 8 for the many other things we need to do. The job or occupation therefore dominates our lives and defines how we serve our purpose—this is why it is referred to as the occupation because it occupies us like water occupies a glass. A job that makes us unhappy will then translate into an unhappy life which will mean an un-maximized life as no one ever gave their best in an unhappy state. If for any reason we are not giving off our best in the occupation, all areas of our lives wi...
